Robert was an amazingly professional individual and provides/promotes a relaxing environment. My wife and I can’t stop talking about how happy we were to stumble across Robert’s website and set up an interview with him. He even moved to Saint Louis while our wedding was in WI and while we were skeptical he made a promise he would still shoot our wedding and it wouldn’t effect anything, it didn’t. He takes pride in all his photos and truly wants you as a customer to really enjoy them. If I didn’t feel so strongly about Robert I probably wouldn’t spend the time to write this lengthy review. Check out his website, those photos on there aren’t just a few far and between, those are every photo he takes.
Robert did an amazing job as our wedding photographer. We couldn’t believe all of the different moments that he was able to capture on film. We barely even noticed him taking pictures of us all night long. Robert blended in with our guests and was able to take natural photos, rather than all posed pictures. He made us feel extremely comfortable with his relaxed, professional environment that he created during our meetings and photo sessions. Our pictures turned out great!
Robert did a great job at our wedding! The pictures were amazing and turned out more like artwork. He did a wonderful job taking pictures from unique angles with artistic twists. We couldn’t be happier with the results. We have such great memories from our wedding day, many of which he captured for us, without us even knowing. He was everywhere! Hiring Robert as our wedding photographer was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. He did a fantastic job, and we would definately hire him for photographs in the future!!
Robert was great! He listened to what we wanted, was flexible with putting together a package, was patient with us, and did an amazing job with the pictures. Our pictures are really incredible. We couldn’t be happier with the work that he did.
Robert did a fantastic job taking photos of my three-month old son. Each photograph was beautiful and creative. No “boring” baby photos! Robert also made us feel totally comfortable and welcomed throughout the process. We would definitely go back to Janes Studios again!
The “moments” he captures are amazing every time and are unique for each wedding couple. He has a true gift of photography. Robert’s expert eye and creativity is outstanding!

Robert was a delight to work with from the start. In our initial meetings, we were impressed because he was so personable and willing to meet our needs for the various elements of the photography package. Robert managed to shoot the traditional posed portraits that my parents wanted as well as the photojournalistic candid shots that Peter and I loved. During the wedding he was a photographic ninja, weaving his way through the church and reception venue to get great shots of everyone involved in the celebration. We love that we have the printing rights to our own photos, and that Robert respected our input for the wedding album so that it is exactly what we wanted it to be. Robert captured all of the best parts of our wedding day, and he is definitely the one wedding vendor from which we feel we completely got our money’s worth of service. Brianna & Peter

Even with engagement pictures on the hottest day of the year and wedding pictures on the coldest day in a long time, they all came out great! Robert Janes was a fabulous photographer. He takes pride in his work and you can definitely see that in his pictures. Robert has a great personality and is very easy to work with. My husband and I live in Milwaukee and he was very flexible with meeting times, etc. During our wedding, Robert did a great job mixing in with the crowd and getting really great pictures. He even stayed later than he was contracted to make sure he got “all the shots”. Robert was very timely and we received our proofs quickly. We ordered a KISS book and Robert did a fantastic job of putting our pictures together to tell “our story”. The pictures are so vivid in the KISS book and I love how he also uses pictures in the background. I have already recommended him to various friends and family members. Thanks Robert!!
